How many players make the team?
Teams consist of 10–11 players per grade.

How many teams are there for each grade?
If the program determines the depth of a certain grade level warrants two teams, we will have an A and B team.

What if my child does not make the team?
Century Basketball partners with Hillsboro Youth Basketball for players not yet ready for or who choose not to play in the competitive league.

My son made the team last year. Will he have a spot on the team this year?
Each season players are re-evaluated and may not make a team even though they played the year before.

Can players who develop at a slower rate or do not make competitive teams succeed in high school?
We have players who played limited minutes as youth players, as 9th graders, even as JV players but continued to work hard and developed physically and skillfully into Varsity players.

How can my son prepare for High School basketball?
There are no guarantees that you son will play high school basketball. For those who wish to pursue this goal it is very important for them to attend camps, clinics and play on teams year to year.
